Bar Mitzvah Lessons:

Rabbi Stiefel will provide detailed and comprehensive Bar mitzvah lessons for your son at a time of their convenience. For instance, your son can learn to master and chant the Trope symbols and read from the Torah or the Haftarah section, learn the Aleph-Bet and read Hebrew, sing the Brochos for his Aliyah, properly wear the Talit and Teffillin and develop a genuine passion for Judaism. Upon request, Rabbi Stiefel will ensure that your son understands the relative meaning of his Bar Mitzvah portion.

 

Moreover, the first lesson will be free, and will provide an opportunity for your son and Rabbi Stiefel to learn more about one another as well as assess your son’s prior knowledge and background in Judaism. Bat Mitzvah Lessons:

A Bat mitzvah is the moment when a Jewish girl becomes a woman. This occasion is cause for great celebration and gratitude to G-d. Thus, Rabbi Stiefel provides Bat mitzvah lessons for Jewish daughters.

 

The lessons will focus on the mitzvot which are particularly pertinent to women. For instance Rabbi Stiefel can teach your daughter about the mitzvot of lighting Shabbat Candles and Challah, and learn about the Matriarchs and practice what it means to be a young Jewish woman in Judaic culture. The focus will also be on the importance of Tzedakah and kindness.
